selected for JASON XIV coordination. These novels were
suggested by teachers like you and approved by the JASON
Literature Selection Team. The Internet can be a wonderful
source for locating lesson plans, activities, and resources
for novels. This site is intended to make your planning
easier. Some teachers may ask why they should use novels
in their classroom for instructional purposes. Novels expand
knowledge and can relate to all disciplines, including
history, science, health, family and consumer sciences,
math, and geography. Using novels also taps into
higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis,
and evaluation via novel message boards and "real-time"
novel chats with authors and other students. Be sure to see
